What the petition asks
To reduce in-school transmission:

2.Daily testing and reporting for reception-y12 to ensure cases are picked up
3.Parents allowed the flexibility to homeschool for 10 days while cases are high
4.Funding for HEP air filters in classrooms

To help keep schools open safely and preserve in person learning, it is necessary that additional measures be introduced to keep children, teachers and their families safe. Without change to current rules, cases could rise in classrooms and lead to school closure and more missed school days. The new measures should decrease in-school transmission and allow more teachers & students to continue attending school. Moreover, they could reduce community transmission and reduce pressure on the NHS.
