Create more career opportunity for sufferers of Amblyopia ‘Lazy eye’

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Create more career opportunities in Governmental Occupations like HM Armed Forces and public sector services like the Police and other Service’s, as many people suffer from Amblyopia and this has a detrimental affect on many Occupations with visual acuity standards.
Create more opportunity for people with Amblyopia as correction is limited and treatment currently is unavailable for adults, and adults are often told ‘nothing can be done’. Fund research for adult Amblyopia to improve these issues and implement further eye testing at younger ages and in schools to all children, to diagnose this disability and other eye complications early to correct the issues in childhood and for other eye complications to be diagnosed early for the best possible help.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about job opportunities for sufferers of Amblyopia, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The Government does not make jobs available specifically to people with particular medical conditions, so it's not sure exactly what you want the Government to do to help create jobs for sufferers of Amblyopia.

We may be able to accept a petition calling on the Government to fund additional support for sufferers of Amblyopia to seek employment, if that's something you'd like to happen.
