What the petition asks
Plastic cling film harms our environment. It should be banned from being sold by all retailers. Biodegradable cling film should be the only cling film available.
Cling film that cannot decompose harms our environment and furthermore, cling film that enters our shorelines and seas can be mistaken by fish and other marine wildlife as food which is harmful for them.
The Government should ban retailers from selling non-biodegradable cling film so that they are only able to sell cling film that is biodegradable, to help reduce damage to wildlife in our seas and in our countryside and valleys.
