Amend Consumer Protection Law to Clarify Airline Passengers' Rights

What the petition asks
According to the Competition and Marketing Authority, "the law does not provide passengers with a sufficiently clear right to a refund" during circumstances such as when lockdown laws prevent the boarding of a flight. In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the government should clarify these laws.
Many people have lost money to airlines during the pandemic due to being unable to legally board a flight following a change in lockdown laws after the booking of a flight.
The consumer protection law in this area is unclear and should be amended to explicitly state the rights of passengers who are legally unable to board a flight.
