Launch a New Bounce Back Loan/Grant Scheme for the travel/hospitality industry
Rejected

What the petition asks
The Chancellor did well in 2020 with the Bounce Back Loan. However, the money received wasn't enough due to the ongoing virus & restrictions. The Banks have failed to lend under RLS & therefore we need another top-up Bounce back loan BBL scheme for businesses to survive.
The Chancellor and the PM are an integral part of parliamentary democracy and therefore the Parliament needs to pass a resolution to discuss further help for the travel/hospitality industry in this difficult time by way of a Top-up Bounce Back Loan instead of a Recovery Loan Scheme which has failed to deliver.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We understand you're concerned about support for the hospitality and travel industries, however it's not clear whether you want the Government to reinstate 'Bounce Back Loans', to create a grant scheme, or both.
