Stop GCSE summer exams 2022. YES for ‘Centre Determined Grades’.

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

The current Yr11 pupils began their GCSE’s in Yr9, summer term 2019 during the start of the C-19 pandemic. Certainly the most effected year group, as they have endured half of their GCSE years learning via online learning, with added stress effecting well-being in these uncertain times.
At present, Yr11 pupils continue the additional workload to complete assessments incase of ‘Centre Determined Grades’, as well as the usual GCSE workload & continuing to prepare for summer exams!
Also, there are concerns with regards to upping the grading levels within the marking system, to make it ‘more difficult’ to achieve grades - extremely unfair under the circumstances. This is having a detrimental effect on pupils health & well-being.
