Create a BBC subscription service for viewers outside the UK.

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

Propose a BBC streaming service similar to Netflix or Prime for customers outside of the UK. As the TV license prevents viewers from outside the UK accessing UK TV services, create a streaming service instead which allows expats and Anglophile global citizens to enjoy UK TV.
First of all it will allow UK Expats and Anglophile world citizens to access outstanding British TV while secondly contributing towards the funding of the BBC which is under pressure from reduced funding while also taking the burden of the TV license off the British people.
It will create a new source of vital funding as well as a brand new audience and create a truly global BBC service. Also with so many Brits abroad in Europe, American and the antipodes it will truly open up the BBC.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a decision for the BBC.
