Change council housing standards

What the petition asks
The council houses and flat condition should be in a rentable manner before advertising and leasing
I believe it is insane to offer a council tenants a home in such a poor condition; we should be treated fairly and according to our rights as tenants, and we should never accept a house with holes in the walls, cemented floors, mouldy bathrooms and rooms, poor state gardens, and walls that aren't painted ( in white ), none carpeted homes,
Have you ever rented a private housing which such poor state ? So why should we council tenants put up with the terms of council housing?
We pay rent, we should be treated as human beings not pigs

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Social landlords already need to make sure that homes meet certain standards, including that they are in a reasonable state of repair: https://www.gov.uk/housing-association-homes/standard-of-your-home
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to change these standards, but it would need to be clear how you wanted these standards to be changed.
