What the petition asks

We want to government to allow the licence to rise to £180 per year over the next 6 years, until the government has road tested a new funding model with the BBC. This cost amounts to 51p per day for every citizen which is extremely good value.

The BBC is one of the great institutions of British culture. It's future should be very carefully handled and modelled. It is imperative that a new financial model does not imperil the services that they currently provide.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
