Stop double vaccinations becoming a condition of deployment for home care staff
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Stop the legislation on 1st April 2022 that require home carers/social care staff to be double vaccinated as a condition of deployment. The social care system is at breaking point, as of the 1st April over 50% of social care staff are forced to leave their job as they are not double jabbed.
Thousands of hours of care for vulnerable individuals are unallocated, loved ones are dying in hospital because there arent enough care staff to provide home care. This is going to hit a further crisis if the government continues with plans to enforce double vaccinations on social care staff. It should be at the employers discression if they wish to continue with unvaccinated staff and apply the appropriate infection control measures such as frequent testing, additional ppe, providing equal rights
