Make it illegal to abuse Driving Instructors, Examiners and Learner Drivers.

What the petition asks
To hold abusers of Learner Drivers accountable for their actions.
As a driving instructor, my pupils and myself are often abused verbally by other road users. It is totally unfair on my learners who are doing their best to learn a life long skill. This skill helps keep them and other road users safe! Many of my pupils are anxious/nervous and abusing them damages their confidence. I do understand that we are slower and that we make mistakes. However, we have L plates on the car which warns other drivers that we do not have their speed, confidence or ability.
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
There are already offences that apply to verbal abuse and harassment in public: https://www.cps.gov.uk/crime-info/verbal-abuse-and-harassment-public
Decisions about investigating alleged offences and prosecuting these are a matter for the police and Crown Prosecution Service, not the Government or Parliament.
