Stop Andy Burnham imposing extra funding for Greater Manchester police.

What the petition asks
Council tax payers already pay for policing in Greater Manchester yet the City Mayor wants to add an extra £10 to each household to cover the cost of the police force failing to operate competently.
Costs like this should not be forced onto council tax payers and councils should be brought to task on there own failings.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about changes to local council tax are a matter for individual local authorities, not the Government or Parliament. As a result it is not possible for the Government or Parliament to take the action you have requested.
