What the petition asks
Some people have missed their BTEC exams due to covid and will have to resist months after and be behind their peers. How it this fair it's not under our control whether we get covid and we following covid rules. Therefore we should get predicted grades.
It's going to affect peoples chances of going to university. I was predicted an equivalent of an A* and have worked hard many others have as well and we can't sit it. What concessions are going to be put in place. As we are going to be disadvantaged.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about exam arrangements for students who were unable to sit their exams because they were unwell are a matter for individual exam boards, not the Government or Parliament.
