Incorporate Female Genital Mutalation into Secondary Curriculum and END FGM!

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

We need the government help to educate parents and the youth more about FGM and the health issues that comes with it. In order to do this, we need add this to the Religious Studies curriculum. Also, we need to have more PSHE lessons for primary students so they know when they are in danger.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

The new relationships and sex education curriculum already requires schools to teach students about female genital mutilation (FGM) in secondary school.

The relationships and sex education curriculum for primary school requires scools to teach students how to recognise and report feelings of being unsafe or feeling bad about any adult, and how to ask for advice or help for themselves or others, and to keep trying until they are heard.
