There must be no cover-up of the daily number of migrants crossing the Channel

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

It has been reported that the government is preparing to cease publication of daily numbers of migrants detected crossing the Channel in boats without prior permission. This would be an obvious attempt to hide the truth from the public, and to conceal the scale of incompetence on border security.
MPs must prevent this attempt to hide the truth on daily detected Channel arrivals by boat. Such a move would greatly anger the public.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned that the Government may change how data on Channel crossings is reported, but we're not sure exactly how you want this data to reported.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
