Make private parking penalties unenforceable through the court system.

What the petition asks
To stop private parking companies being able to enforce unreasonable charges and fines through the courts, the Government should make private parking penalties unenforceable. The Government stopped clamping on private property, but a CCJ can be worse as they affect credit history.
The Government needs to protect motorists from legal enforcement of private parking charges. It can affect people’s livelihoods and mental health. What gives operators of private parking the right to affect the credit rating of a person for the next 5 years? Many use scare tactics to charge excessive sums. The Government stopped wheel clamping in private car parks and now they need to stop this.
