Make Children’s mental health training compulsory for all medical professionals.

What the petition asks
There is currently a mental health crisis among our children. CAMHS is stretched far beyond its means and hospital staff are not prepared to be able to deal with emergency situations. Make mental training a mandatory part of training.
To help those children in crisis and to equip medical professionals in order to be able to compassionately provide care and treatment.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about training for medical professionals are a matter for the NHS and relevant professional bodies, not the Government or House of Commons. As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.
