Give the English a voice in the discussion of independence from Scotland

What the petition asks
Give the English population the opportunity to vote on leaving the union with Scotland. Even if its not legally binding it would be good to know how the English feel for a change
We hear a lot about how Scotland wants to leave the UK and rejoin the EU, that's their choice and good luck to them. It would be helpful to know how the English feel about the union with Scotland and if they would like to end it as much as the Scottish do. Isn't it important to know how both sides feel about Scottish nationalism and wouldn't it be fair to give both sides a say in the matter.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the decision to leave the Union would be a matter for the people of Scotland based on their consent, rather than a decision for the people of England.
