Provide funding to support deaf athletes equally alongside Paralympic athletes

What the petition asks
The Government provides funding to support Olympic and Paralympic athletes, but there is no dedicated support for deaf athletes.
There are over 11 million deaf/hard of hearing people in the UK, and the Government should be providing support for athletes with hearing impairments.
I train to compete in Deaflympics (the 2nd longest running multi sporting event in the world), but receive no support or funding.
What example are the Government setting by ignoring deaf athletes. We cannot compete in the Paralympics but that doesn’t mean we shouldn't be supported.
I am proud to be deaf but I am isolated from the immense funding, support, pathways, camps & opportunities being given to Paralympic athletes. We are deserving of similar acknowledgment.
