What the petition asks
There are over 1.5 Million homes in the UK that are heated by fuel oil and over the last 12 months the unit price has more than Doubled plunging many households into fuel poverty. The Government is looking at price caps for Electricity and Gas but is not addressing homes are heated by oil.
There needs to be a price cap placed on domestic heating oil such that it does not exceed the highest pence per unit of last 5 year average.
This needs implementating urgently as families are having to choose between heating and eating.
