Give more house back to locals and less holiday lets, Cornwall and Devon area

What the petition asks
The housing crisis in Devon and Cornwall are because of air b&bs and more people renting their properties out for holidays makers, meaning less long term properties for people, single, couples, families even the older generation. Meaning less people to work and contribute to the economy
Close some of the air b&bs about half or more and make sure that the people who are renting out as a holiday let have to pay abit more for council tax to help benefit Devon and Cornwall, hopefully freeing up housing for the locals to ease the pressure of the housing crisis
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about use of and selling properties are a matter for individual home owners, not the Government or Parliament. As a result it is not possible for the Government or Parliament to take the action you have requested.
