What the petition asks
There is no safe access on this road to allow elderly people and children to walk to the village shop. Cars speed through the village, making the road extremely dangerous for pedestrians.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about local roads are a matter for the local traffic authority, not the Government or Parliament. As a result it is not possible for the Government or Parliament to take the action you have requested.
