What the petition asks

Prohibit plans to increase Gas and Electricity Bills. This has become unaffordable due to the covid pandemic. People have lost jobs, people have gained high amounts of debt. People are struggling to put food on the table. We are physically unable to pay the vast cost increase.
We should not be 'given' £200 to put towards Energy bills and then have to repay the costs over a period of time. This is not helping. This is creating more debt for households, making more bills unaffordable.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Allow consumers the right to refuse the £200 energy rebate
