Review the diagnosis and treatment of myocarditis on the NHS

Closed 265 signatures

What the petition asks

The Government should commission a review into how myocarditis is diagnosed and treated on the NHS.
Myocarditis UK calls for this review to investigate how patients are kept informed about this condition, and how doctors are trained in its diagnosis and treatment. This review should be used to drive improvements in patient care.

Myocarditis is a rare heart condition that, if left undiagnosed, can be fatal. It is difficult to diagnose due to how it presents and its rarity. It can be hard to diagnose as the symptoms can mimic other illnesses like on-going flu-like symptoms, post viral lethargy and even anxiety.
