Cancel the 2022 Energy Bills Rebate

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The £200 Energy Bills Rebate is in fact an enforced loan on millions of people who would rather not to pay it or can't.
Energy suppliers will apply for the 'discount' and the Government meeting the costs.
With the public then paying the govt back automatically by equal £40 instalments over the next five years.

This rigid scheme is extremely flawed for people moving or sharing homes over the next 5 years.
Millions of struggling people could face paying back a 'loan' in which they never even needed or used.

Fairer proposals to tackle the UK energy bill crisis must be found.
