Reduce fuel poverty by Increasing tax on oil companies instead of forcing loans

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

In the energy cap rise, average household bills will rise by over £700 which is double. Current plans to make every household take a £200 loan repayable over 5 years aren't a solution and taking the sting out of it, isn't good enough.

Increase taxes at the source i.e. the big oil companies
Other countries aren't experiencing anywhere near the amount of raise in consumer prices, so we shouldn't either. Its going to have a detrimental effect on millions of households throughout the UK and will become the next crisis.
