What the petition asks
Keep the mandatory 5 day self isolation rule for those who have symptoms of Covid-19 and/or test positive for Covid-19.
The 5 day isolation currently in place helps to reduce the number of people with Covid-19 infecting others. This is common sense and protects the vulnerable. It also reduces the risk of our NHS from becoming overwhelmed.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
You may wish to sign this petition which calls for the same action: Do not end legal obligations to self-isolate if people test positive for covid
