Prevent children in care being removed from homes without reasonable notice

What the petition asks
Two years ago I got home from my job and was told that I had to leave my care home that day, within the space of just a few hours. I was, and still am, extremely traumatized from this and I'm shocked that the care system is within its right to do this.
I understand that in some cases, such as abuse, it is necessary to remove a child from their home instantly. I do not want this to be prevented. I want legislation governing termination of placement in care to be amended, so that where there is no emergency that requires a child to be removed from their home immediately, the local authority has to give at least one week's notice to allow that child to process what is happening to them and determine what to do next.
