End all remaining Covid-19 restrictions immediately

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

The Government should immediately remove:
- any requirements for testing and self-isolation;
- any rules based on the vaccination status;
- the PLF;
- any requirements to limit the spread of Covid;
- the right for any organisation to impose their own mask/vaccination/testing requirements.
Coronavirus restrictions have done enormous harm. Billions of hours of face to face education have been lost. People are missing contact time with loved ones and friends, fun and joy. Testing and quarantine for international travel and their high costs have kept families apart. Businesses that were the livelihood of many families have been destroyed.
Life cannot be put on hold. Children grow, adults get older. We won't get back the years that coronavirus restrictions have taken away from us.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

On Monday 21 February the Prime Minister announced that it would be removing domestic restrictions in England relating to covid-19. You can read the Prime Minister's statement here: https://hansard.parliament.uk/commons/2022-02-21/debates/982A4806-6695-4ECE-9D1C-4BD0E8798306/LivingWithCovid-19

The Government has also published a document setting out its strategy for living with covid-19, which you can read here: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1056229/COVID-19_Response_-_Living_with_COVID-19.pdf

If you want the Government to removal all covid-19 requirements relating to international travel to the UK, you might like to sign this petition:

Decisions about health and safety policies are a matter for individual businesses, not the Government or Parliament.
