What the petition asks
The current adversarial GMC system neither protect, nor promote or maintain health care & safety of patient care.Doctors get seriously harmed when the GMC decides to conduct an inquiry at short notice without mediation or warning by (IOT)or MPTS)Change of GMC act spurred by C.Health and parliament.
Doctors should be independent of political pressures, commercial interests, lobbying by interest groups’ and other subversions of good medical practice. The ethical basis of medical practice must be recovered by safeguarding and re-instituting the freedom of a doctor to speak to protect and on behalf of their patients. The GMC has undue powers to impose conditions on their practice, suspension or erasure a doctor’s name from the medical register and to penalise experienced, hard working doctors.
