To change the NHS half pay rule for employees with a Cancer diagnosis
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
To support the NHS in changing the laws on half pay for employees whose cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment spans longer than six months to allow them the time to recieve treatment without financial worries
I felt pressured to return to work in the NHS in the middle of my breast cancer treatment as I had financial worries when I hit half pay before the end of my treatment meaning my focus was on work rather than finishing my treatment and recovery.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The terms and conditions for NHS employees are a matter for the NHS, which is operationally independent of Government.
