Have a Percentage of your Final exam grade assessed by your teacher

What the petition asks
Make it compulsory for a certain percentage (preferably around the 30% mark) of a student’s final grade in a subject to be decided by the teacher of said subject.
I don’t think exams are the best way of assessing someone’s intelligence in a subject, what if you aren’t feeling yourself on exam day or you struggle putting you thoughts into writing? Rather, what if a percentage of your final grade was decided by your teacher. This would not only provide a margin in the exam, making it less stressful but it would discourage laziness in class improving student’s work ethic and help prepare them for post-school life.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you want a teacher assessment to account for part of a student's grade, but it's not clear for what years you want this to apply.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
