Set up a safe and legal route for Ukrainian refugees fleeing Russian aggression

What the petition asks
We are petitioning the Government to accept visa applications from Ukrainians - independent of whether they have British relatives - and create a safe and legal route for them to seek asylum in Britain.
UN refugee chief Filippo Grandi has said that 100,000 people are thought to have already fled their homes after the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and that the consequences for their welfare could be "devastating".
The United States has, likewise, warned that five million people could be displaced by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
This is a devastating humanitarian crisis, and we have a responsibility to help.
