Remove barriers to UK residents adopting rescue dogs from Ukraine

Closed 5,404 signatures

What the petition asks

We wish to request DEFRA urgently to waive all requirements - including a rabies test - for bringing dogs from UKRAINE temporarily, as has already been done by Poland and some other EU countries.
Due to the situation in Ukraine people need to leave their homes, volunteers need to leave the rescue dog shelters. This means pets/rescues are being abandoned due to worries it will delay them.

To help ensure animals can be homed some countries are allowing pets to enter their countries without paperwork and blood antibody Rabies test due to it not being possible to make blood antibody Rabies test in Ukraine now: many laboratories are closed.
