What the petition asks
The UK Government should use its influence in the OSCE Permanent Council and Parliamentary Assembly to seek the expulsion of Russia from the organisation.
On 24 February 2022, Russia launched a massive military attack against Ukraine. In doing so, Russia has shown complete disregard for the Helsinki Act (1975) and its Declaration on Principles Guiding Relations between Participating States.
Crucially, Russia has abandoned key OSCE principles of: I. Sovereign equality, respect for the rights inherent in sovereignty; II. Refraining from the threat or use of force; III. Inviolability of frontiers.
