Enable safe passage into the UK for Ukrainian citizens
Rejected
20 signatures
What the petition asks
Five million people could be displaced from Ukraine in light of the Russian invasion in February 2022. The British Government are currently only accepting visas from Ukrainians with close relatives who are British.
Dozens of charities including the International Rescue Committee UK, the Refugee Council, Save The Children, and Amnesty International have all expressed concerns and have pleaded for the British Home Office to do more.
We call on the British Government to facilitate safe passage to Britain for Ukrainian civilians, regardless of relationships.
