What the petition asks

The UK must use its full diplomatic weight to pressure for this sanction against Russia with our partners, allies and fellow democratic states, including the EU and other international partners.

As an immediate and hard-hitting sanction to send a clear message to Putin and his cronies. There must be severe punishment and real teeth to any sanctions now to prevent future aggression, especially if we are to avoid armed conflict in the future. It is also a clear sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
