What the petition asks

We have seen the terrible tragedy unfold in the Ukraine, and those hundreds of thousands of citizens who have left everything behind while their country has been invaded by a tyrannical dictator. We must ensure that we support the civilian population and provide a safe place to live.

This action is in the DNA of our country. It needs no justification. Its the right and proper thing to do.
