Switch off gas & oil supplies from Russia to EU & GB

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

Sanctions only go so far & impact in medium to long term. There needs to be an immediate and effective measure to cut off the flow of money into Russia.
To show further and real solidarity with the Ukranian people.
Yes, there will be both negative and positive impacts. Negative-higher prices-which are going up anyway. This, however will be counterbalanced with the warming weather as Spring approaches in the northern hemisphere and on the positive side, it would act as a catalyst for economies in developing greener solutions and so hasten the reduction of harmful emissions.
