Seize (not freeze) Russian assets in lockstep with the damage caused in Ukraine
Rejected

What the petition asks
Seize assets of Russian banks & Putin-linked oligarchs with equivalent value to the financial cost of the war in Ukraine, then use this fund to later help Ukraine rebuild. It should include damage/destruction to infrastructure/buildings, as well as loss of income to Ukrainian citizens.
Blocking access to these assets in the short-term appears to be having no tangible effect for the citizens facing death from Russian air strikes and gunfire each day
By seizing the assets of equivalent value to the ongoing economic costs (which should be seized in daily lockstep with the mounting costs) the funds can be used for the:
- anticipated humanitarian crisis (at no cost to the taxpayer)
- future rebuilding of Ukraine
...and will raise pressure on parties to intervene.
