Remove the newly implemented 20mph speed limit in Buckley, Flintshire.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The newly implemented 20mph speed limit should only be in housing estates and around schools during school start/end time.
It is causing frustrated drivers, leading to increased road rage and a higher chance of collision. 20mpg is also too slow to overtake a cyclist or slow moving vehicle such as a tractor with out breaking the speed limit.

There has already been a collision on the day that the new speed limit was introduced. There is also not enough signs to effevtively inform drivers of the new speed limit

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about local speed limits are a matter for the relevant local authority, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here:
