Prevent the concreting of Fracking sites

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Ask Parliament to prevent the concreting over and putting out of use fracking sites at a time when we need more, not less fuel security
As the current crisis demonstrates Britain is massively dependent on imported gas, while sitting on 50 years worth of gas reserves.
This dependence undermines the country’s lee room to act against gas exporters such as Russia.
Concreting over the wells is not supported by reliable science and the impact of continuing this policy is to substantially increase the cost of living.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is an issue for the managers of the sites in question.
