Reduce tax on fuel in the uk whilst conflict is ongoing in Europe
Rejected
10 signatures
What the petition asks
I would like the government to reduce the tax on fuel from 55% to 30%
With the cost of living rising and more sanctions being put in place Russia are threatening to cut all oil supplies to the uk causing prices of fuel to rocket more than they already have it’s hard on the working class who have to regularly fuel up due to travelling to work and carrying out day to day duties
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
The duty on petrol is 57.95 pence per litre, rather than a percentage of the total price, but we have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:
Reduce fuel duty and VAT by 40% for a period of 2 years: Reduce fuel duty and VAT by 40% for a period of 2 years
Temporarily suspend all taxes on all fuels and energy bills: Temporarily suspend all taxes on all fuels and energy bills
