What the petition asks
Delay rebated fuel duty changes until supply and pricing stabilises. The economic sanctions taken against Russia and the war in Ukraine are creating a perfect storm within the fuel supply market.
All Fuels have risen dramatically in recent weeks and is already putting financial strain on business
All Fuels have risen dramatically in recent weeks and is already putting financial strain on business
Businesses are expected to stomach a large duty and VAT increase from rebated to non-rebated fuels from the 1st of April.
Economic sanctions taken against Russia and the war in Ukraine are creating a perfect storm within the fuel supply market. Businesses were already under pressure to absorb large Duty and VAT increases on moving to non-rebated fuels, however prices have dramatically increased as of recent, a further large increase would be detrimental to business and mean many shut down.
