Help casualties of the Ukraine Crisis with funds from Russian sanctions.

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

All of the proceeds from the seizure of Russian assets due to the Ukraine crisis should go to helping the casualties of the Ukraine conflict, irrespective of their nationality.

Pass a bill that shows that this is how all funds will be used, with no exceptions.
Its is the right thing to do, and may help to alleviate some of the suffering. It will hopefully show the people of Ukraine and Russia that we care about helping the people affected, and that, above all else we prioritise the de-escalation of the conflict.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

You may wish to sign this petition which calls for a similar action: Seize frozen Russian assets and give proceeds to Ukraine to help with rebuilding

Current sanctions only freeze assets of sanctioned individuals, so the UK Government is not gaining any funds from these sanctions.
