Introduce a fuel price cap and/or tax reduction to combat the energy crisis

What the petition asks
Introduce a fuel price cap and/or a fuel duty and VAT reduction to combat the current energy and cost of living crisis before the economy reaches a critical point at risk of potential collapse.
In the last year fuel and energy prices have increased by at least 50-60% leaving many British households already struggling to make ends meet in a dire situation. Minimum wage is due to increase by a mere 6% in April, which is not comparative to the inflation of fuel, energy and other bills which have increased the cost of living exponentially. The current direction of the economy is on an unsustainable path forcing millions below the poverty line.
