Offer households £350 per month for six months to house the British homeless

What the petition asks
The Government is happy to pay households £350 per month to house Ukrainian refugees rent-free for 6 months.
We wish for a similar scheme to be extended to homeless British citizens with priority given to ex armed forces personnel.
The first duty of a government is to its citizens who voted them into office as this is their primary duty of care.
If we are to home refugees out of our common humanity and fund with a £350 monthly assistance, then surely we are morally compelled to do the same for homeless British citizens?
