Extend ‘Harper's Law’ to include social workers

What the petition asks
The Government should extend the definition of ‘emergency workers’ to be protected under the new ‘Harper’s Law’ to include social workers.
Social workers work on the front line to ensure children are safe, and can face risky situations responding to the needs of children. We work with high risk people, including offenders, often with no defence tools or security guards in situations that can escalate rapidly. We deserve the same respect and protection that Harper’s Law will give to other services.
