Require workplaces offer women paid menstrual leave
Closed

What the petition asks
Introduce law that requires companies offer paid menstrual leave to all their female employees. This should be at least a couple paid days off a month, so they can recover from potentially agonising menstrual symptoms.
Although there’s sick leave that can be taken, it seems preposterous that women aren’t offered leave specifically for menstruation. Every month women go to work despite being in severe pain as taking sick leave every month could lead to disciplinary procedures, even in the best of companies. Creating rights to menstrual leave should help women feel more confident to take leave due to menstrual symptoms.
