Ban advertising on fast food

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Ban any advertising on foods that are unhealthy and all the companies that deliver them.
To tackle the obesity of children and adults in the UK. It worked with smoking and I know this would work with obesity.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about unhealthy food, but we're not sure exactly what foods or companies you want to be banned from advertising. For example, it's not clear if you just want this ban only to apply to food that is normally referred to as "fast food", or any food that is unhealthy (for example because it has a high sugar or fat content). It's also not clear if you want the ban to cover just businesses that deliver "fast food", or any businesses that might deliver unhealthy foods, for example grocery stores.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
